My wife, son, daughter-in-law and I just returned from a memorable, two-week adventure in Spain and Portugal which was arranged by the wonderful team at Catavino. There aren’t sufficient superlatives to describe these extraordinary individuals who made this trip so very special.Our primary contact, Janelle Norman, guided us with great creativity, attention to detail and sensitivity in addressing our focus on food, wine and culture. Her choices of extremely professional drivers, knowledgeable and engaging guides and delightful restaurants were outstanding. Her suggested day in the Douro Valley with Ryan Opaz was educational and great fun. Ryan was a superb and entertaining host who guided us through the tasting of aged port from even older barrels in a private quinta. Lunch at a small family restaurant and a cruise on the beautiful Douro River were wonderful.In Porto, one of our many highlights was a walking tour of this magical city with the vibrant and ever engaging Gabriella Opaz. Not to be missed! Her personality is infectious and seeing Porto through her eyes will guarantee your return.I must also mention that throughout our two weeks of travel, Janelle was never far away, during the day and well into the night, checking on our experiences and making modest adjustments in our plans where appropriate. Our travels were flawless.In summary, our family shared numerous experiences we’ll remember forever and we met many wonderful people along the way. However, it was the Catavino team that made it all possible and gave us a truly memorable journey. We’ll be back very soon!

What an amazing trip with a fantastic group of people. It was an education about wine we couldn't have experienced anywhere else. Our guide, Ryan Opaz, was extremely knowledgable and brought great enthusiasm to the experience.

The Catavino team is world class. A tour with them is guaranteed to be something that you won't forget. They show you a true picture of what goes on, busting myths about the wine and port industry to show you the real side of Douro. Their level of knowledge is incredible, and we had access to wine tasting, grape stomping and meet the faces behind the wine industry. I can't even begin to describe the amazing lunch at the farm, overlooking the most spectacular views that only the Douro provides - breath taking!! It is guaranteed to be filled with passion and love, leaving you with a yearning to come back time and time again. Can't recommend this enough.

My wife and I took our 9 day honeymoon trip across Portugal and had an absolutely amazing time. Catavino created a wonderful itinerary for us with a great mix of exploring the cities, history, countryside, food, and wine. We were in such good hands the entire time and will definitely be back so Catavino can show us more of the country!

My trip to Algarve and Lisbon Portugal was perfect because of Catavino. I had never been to Portugal and Catavino ensured I hit all the spots that fit with my interests and priorities. They were also a god send for last minute changes I needed. I had an injury shortly before the trip that hindered my mobility, and Lisbon is not a particularly accessible city. Ana was easy to reach via their app and always responsive and was able to ensure that I had accommodations I needed, and some same day changes for me meeting my tour group to reduce amount of walking I had to do. Truly a seamless picture perfect trip as a result of their guidance and assistance.

We were staying in Porto, without a car, and wanted to see the Douro. Filipa organized a wonderful day for us. We visited two wineries, had a lovely outdoor lunch overlooking the Douro River, and had a fantastic driver and guide in Carlos. There was excellent communication from Catavino throughout. Would highly recommend using Catavino's services.
