Catavino was excellent to work with. They helped us plan exactly the trip we wanted. We visited Porto and Lisbon, including a stop in Coimbra on the drive from Porto to Lisbon. Each tour and each guide and driver were perfect. The guides and drivers all spoke English well. They were charming, informative and each had a sense of humor. Using the services of Catavino made our trip to Portugal much more meaningful, informative and fun.

I worked with Ryan and his staff on setting up a wine and food tour for my winery's (Bodegas Paso Robles) wine club members. They were a delight to work with and put together a spectacular 10-day tour in Portugal and Spain. I had some very specific requests that they were able to accommodate. Their hotel, restaurant, and winery recommendations were spot on and I felt we got great value for our money. All tour guides were extremely professional and amazingly knowledgeable. Stunning tour both from a history standpoint as a tour of downtown Porto. All the places we visited were amazing and we finished in "The Lab" which is a place that shows how much everyone involved loves to go deeper in the work they do. Just spent a wonderful day in the Douro wine region with the Catavino team and a local winemaker. We had breathtaking views of a side of the Douro that most visitors don't get to see, knowledgeable explanations of the grapes, wines and processes and of course, delicious table and port wines, some poured straight from the barrel. The highlight of the day was the chance to join the Purple Foot Club by treading grapes in stone tanks.

My husband and I had a wonderful day on a private tour with Ryan throughout the Douro Valley. He is extremely knowledgeable and helped us learn to appreciate Port. Beyond the wonderful private tasting sessions, he also brought us to a delicious lunch at a local Portuguese restaurant.
